Handi Paneer

 
Ingredients:

250 gms Paneer

3  finely chopped onion

1 large tomato chopped

1 green bell pepper diced ( big pieces )

1 onion diced ( big pieces )

2 tbsp ginger and garlic crushed

2  green chilies

1/2 cup yogurt

1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

1 bay leaf

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red Chili powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1/4 tsp  ground black pepper

3 tbsp oil

Salt to taste

2 tbsp chopped green coriander

 
Method:

Heat the oil in a wok, add cumin seeds let it crackle. Add finely chopped onions along with a bay leaf  and saute then till onions are slightly brown.

Add crushed ginger and garlic and let them cook till the rawness of ginger and garlic goes, then add chopped tomato and chopped green chili and let it cook for another 5-6 minutes or till the tomato water dries up.

Add dry ingredients now, put 1/2 tsp haldi, 1 tsp of red chili powder , 1 tsp coriander powder and 1/4 tsp garam masala and cook for 2 minutes on medium heat.

Now add whipped yogurt and cook till the masala dries up.

Add salt to taste, and 1/2 half cup water and bring it to boil. Put chopped paneer, cubed capsicum and onion.

Add chopped coriander, cook till the masala dries up and coats the paneer. Add freshly grounded black pepper.

Serve hot with Paratha or chapati.
