Mix bean Bulgur served with  Jerk Chicken and Tzatziki Sauce

fusion meal… I made Mix Bean Bulgur Jerk Chicken with tzatiki sauce.

Bulgur is a staple diet of Turkey, Tzatiki sauce from Greece and Jerk Chicken is seriously delicious creation from Jamaica… But they gel so well with each other…

Coolness of Tzatziki goes so well with the fiery jerk chicken and Bulgur gives the dish nice base.
Recipe for Jerk chicken

3 boneless chicken breast
2 spring onion

1/2 tsp of dry thyme

1/4 tsp black pepper powder

1/4 tsp brown sugar

3/4 tsp garam masala

Pinch of nutmeg powder

1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

1 fresh red chili

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp vegetable oil

1 tbsp vinegar

1 onion

juice of one lemon

1 tsp crushed ginger and garlic.

Salt to salt

Method :
Put all the ingredients in the food processor except chicken and make paste.

Wash the chicken and make cuts so that the marinate goes deep inside.
Marinate the clean and dry chicken pieces and keep in the fridge for at least 6 hours.

Preheat the Air fryer at 180 deg C for 8-10 minutes then place the chicken in the basket and cook for 6 minutes then turn the chicken bast it with remaining marinate and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
Recipe for Mix bean Bulgur

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1/2 boiled mix beans
1 onion—finely chopped

2 cloves garlic—minced

1 tsp ground cumin

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp dried chili flakes

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup bulgur

1 cube chicken stock

Salt to taste

1/3 tsp ground black pepper


Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. ADD the garlic, cumin, cinnamon, chili flakes and tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, then add the bulgur, mix beans and stir to coat for 1 minute. Add the chicken stock, salt and pepper, increase the heat to high and bring to a boil. Cover with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and let stand, with the lid on, for 5 minutes. Keep aside for plating.
Recipe for Tzatziki sauce


1 cup Hung yogurt

1 cucumber
2 cloves if garlic, minced

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped fresh mint

1/4 tsp black pepper,

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt to taste


Grate the peeled and deseeded cucumber in a bowl add hung yogurt and all the remaining ingredients and mix well.


Plating :

In a plate put generous portion of Bulgur top it with jerk chicken and drizzle generously with Tzatziki sauce and chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
