Zatar and Garlic Roast Chicken served with Garden salad and strawberry mustard dressing

1  whole chicken

2 tbsp  garlic paste

1 1/2 tbsp Zatar mix

1 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 cumin powder

1/2 tsp crushed black pepper

2 tsp lemon juice

Salt to taste

2 tbsp olive oil


Wash and pat dry the chicken.

Mix all the above ingredients and marinate the chicken and keep in Fridge at least for 14-16 hours.

Preheat the oven at 180 deg C.

Place the chicken in the baking tray and bake it for 40-45 minutes. Then increase the tempeture to 220 deg C andfurther bake it for 8-10 minutes or till the chicken gets the colour.

When done let the chicken rest for 10 minute before serving.

Serve hot with Garden Salad.
