2 tbsp garlic paste
1 1/2 tbsp Zatar mix
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 cumin powder
1/2 tsp crushed black pepper
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
Butter for basting.
Wash and pat dry the chicken. For crispy skin, the chicken should be completely dry.
Mix all the above ingredients and rub the marinade on the chicken and as well as in between skin and flesh. and keep in the Fridge at least for 14-16 hours.
Preheat the Air fryer/ oven at 180 deg C.
Place the chicken in the baking tray and bake it for 40-45 minutes. Then increase the tempeture to 220 deg C andfurther bake it for 8-10 minutes or till the chicken gets the colour. If using Air fryer the cooking time will reduce to 30 minutes. ( Cooking time will vary according to size of the bird and oven)
Keep basting the chicken with leftover marinate and butter to get crisp golden skin.
When done let the chicken rest for 10 minute before serving.
Serve hot with Garden Salad.
