Chole Murgh


Chicken( boneless) 500 gms

Chickpeas (boiled) 1 1/2 cup

Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp

Cumin seed 1 tsp

Onions ( finely chopped )2

Tomatoes ( chopped) 2

tomato paste 1 tsp

Red chili powder 1 tsp

Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp

Coriander Powder 1 tbsp

Cumin Seeds 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder 1 tsp

Chole masala 1 tsp

roasted kasuri methi 1 tsp

Oil 1/4 cup

Salt to taste

Green Chillies 3

Green Coriander 3-4 tbsp


In a pan heat oil add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
Add onions and fry till golden.Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 3-4 minutes then add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder,chole masala with black pepper powder.

Saute for a minute.Then add chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, chopped green chilies and cook until tender.

Add salt and chicken and stir well and cook until oilseparates. Add chickpeas with 2 cups of water and cook on low heat for 10-12 minutes.

Sprinkle crushed Kasuri methi and cover and for additional two minutes.
Garnish with chopped green coriander leaves and serve hot.
