Energy balls

This post is for a noble cause. I would like to mention that it is not sponsored post as well.

I am member of this amazing Facebook group that goes by the name Fusion Fora. I have been lucky to meet beautiful amazing people through this group. Now about the cause…

Cuddles foundation is FusionFora’s Charity Partner and they aim to spread awareness for children suffering from cancer. FusionFora tied up with Cuddles Foundation to run this awesome #FoodHealsChallenge all through September.

One of the admin of Fusion Fora and very dear friend of mine Neha Dadarkar had challenged me to create a simple and nutritious recipe. The purpose behind it, is to create awareness about healthy eating.

I will put up the link of Cuddles foundation above,so you can read about all the good work they are doing for well being of kids suffering with cancer, I prefer calling them Brave hearts ❤️

So back to the challenge that Neha gave me. I decided i would make something that is amazing simple and so tasty that no kids would fuss eat that 😃

Energy balls or call it Power-packed laddoo ( Indian Sweet balls)

I have included different types of super nutritious seeds, oats, and dates. For added sweetness i used Honey instead the of sugar.

Pumpkin and Sunflower seeds are good source of zinc and omega-3 essential fatty acids. They also contain protein, iron and phosphorus and are low in carbohydrates, dates are very high in fiber and oats has amazing benefits as well.

I use to keep them handy while traveling when Amal was young. But even now its a prefect snacking option. It is versatile recipe. You add or subtract any nuts and seeds according to your kids preference.
