8 large prawns
5-6 cloves of minced garlic
1/4 tsp crushed black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
1/2 tsp light soya sauce
1 tbsp cornflour
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Red food colour optional
Method:
Clean the prawns by remove the head and legs and devein it by using a small sharp knife to make a slit along the middle of the back to expose the dark vein, using your fingers carefully pull the vein and wash prawns well with clean water.
Pat dry Prawns and marinate with all the ingredients except oil. Let it be in fridge for at least 1 hour.
Heat the oil in a wok on medium flame, when it hot fry the prawns for 3 minutes each side, increase or reduce the time according to the size of the prawns.
Drain the prawn on absorbent paper.
Serve hot with salad and chutney.
