Here a quick solution
Kesari Rava Halwa
1/2 cup semolina ( suji / rava)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup ghee
2 green cardamon
1/4 tsp of orange food colour
A pinch of saffron
3 tbsp chopped nuts
In a heavy bottom wok add ghee let heat on low heat, put crushed cardamons , put the semolina and let it roast on low heat stirring continuously.
Simultaneously in a separate pan add 2 cups water, sugar and food colour and let it boil till sugar dissolves.
When the semolina is nicely roasted ( it will take around 10-12 minutes) add saffron and roast for a minute.
Slowly add the sugar syrup to the semolina and let it cook on medium heat.
Gradually the sugar syrup will be absorbed by semolina, add the chopped nuts and cook further for 2-3 minutes. When it turn glossy the Kesari Rava Halwa is done.
