Eid-ul-Adha Special recipes

Eid al-Adha is a four-day Islamic festival starting on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja. In the period, many Muslims from around the world travel to Mecca to perform the Hajj . Which is one of the pillars of Islam.

We all dress in their best clothing to perform Eid prayer at mosque or home.

After namaaz we sacrifice a domestic animal like like goat, sheep or camel, this is symbolic sacrifice of an animal that Ibrahim sacrificed in the place of his son Ismail.

The meat from the sacrificed animal is usually divided into three parts. One part for family, another part is distributed amongst relatives and friends and the final part is given to the poor and needy.

The major part of celebration is around the food. We invite friends and family and prepare a feast using meat of sacrifice animal. With endless recipes, I am sharing few of my favorite recipes that I enjoy feasting on Eid ul Adha.
